NOTE: This feature is only available to people with an active University of Florida Gatorlink account.
The EDIS/Ask IFAS website has added a new favorites list feature. Anyone with a Gatorlink ID can now save a list of their favorite “go-to” EDIS articles and pages for easy access. Just logon to the Ask IFAS site and start building your list by clicking the heart icons in the upper right of pages for your favorite articles, topics, experts, and departments.
Logging On
Because this feature is not yet available to most users, it is tucked into the “hamburger” in the upper right corner of the page. Just click the Login link toward the bottom of the list to go to the Gatorlink Authentication page.
On returning to the Ask IFAS site, you will see a LOGOUT link beside the hamburger. Be sure to use this link to end your session if you are using a public or shared computer.
Ask IFAS Favorites
Once you’ve logged in, the following new features are now available to you:
- Favorites page at https://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/favorites
- Selectable heart icon on every article, topic, expert, and unit page
- Hamburger link to Favorites Page
- Favorites section on Ask IFAS home page
To add a page to your favorites, navigate to it on the Ask IFAS site and click the heart icon. It can be found in the metadata panel. On a wide desktop screen, this will be to the right of the page content; on a narrow screen or device, it will be at the end after the content.
The empty heart will turn solid to show it is now your favorite.
To remove a page from your favorites, just click the solid heart on your favorites list or on the page, and it will change to an empty heart.
Try it out! Please send any feedback to edis@ifas.ufl.edu
