Meet your new Livestock and Natural Resources Extension Agent
My name is Taylor Davis, your new Livestock and Natural Resources Extension Agent, representing Highlands County. I was born and raised in Wauchula, and currently reside there with my husband Carson Davis and our herd of Brangus cattle. Growing up, I discovered my passion for agriculture through my local 4-H club, where I showed market animals for five years.
I am a “Double Gator” from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences, along with a Master of Science in Animal Sciences, specialized in reproduction. I obtained my Artificial Insemination and Florida Beef Quality Assurance certifications as well. While at UF I was active in Block and Bridle, Alpha Delta Pi sorority, Gator Collegiate Cattlewomen, and UF’s 2015 Livestock Judging Team. Since graduating from college, I previously worked at the Farm Service Agency for USDA in Wauchula from November 2016 – September 2017 and I am the current President of Hardee County Cattlewomen’s Association.
As your new Extension agent, I am ecstatic to meet you, the cattlemen and cattlewomen, and help Highlands County to develop even better livestock operations. Feel free to contact me at the Extension office for any questions you may have. I am always looking for ways to better serve the producers!
