We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of R. Randall Rollins, who passed away on August 17, 2020. The Atlanta business leader and philanthropist was Chairman of the Board of Rollins, Inc., a premier global consumer and commercial services company with several leading brands in the pest control industry.

The Rollins family businesses furthered the land-grant mission of the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) through their support of programs in entomology, animal sciences and agronomy. In 2005, the O. Wayne Rollins Foundation contributed the naming gift to construct and establish the Orkin Termite Training Center, which provides expert termite programming, benefiting homeowners throughout the nation. Since the facility’s completion in 2007, FDACS, UF faculty and staff, along with other industry professionals, have provided statewide programs to a wide range of participants, including pest control professionals, government employees and students.

UF/IFAS is grateful for the Rollins family’s partnership and vision in advancing Florida’s agricultural and natural resources industries.
