Seagrass Exploration Class

The Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve (ANERR) will offer a Seagrass Exploration Class Friday, July 15th. Participants will immerse themselves in the vibrant seagrass ecosystem on a guided snorkeling tour of the crystal clear seagrass beds in St. Joseph Bay. After the tour we will explore seagrass ecology and conservation through discussions, hands on activities, and group investigation at the St Joe Buffer Preserve Lodge. This adult class covers the basics of life in a seagrass bed, as well as the intricate ties between organisms, and important conservation and protection efforts in our area. The Seagrass Ecology Class will be offered on Friday, July 15th, 2016, from 10:00am-3:00pm. Class fee is $25 per person, registration is required, please visit gulfalliancetraining.com to register. Attendees are responsible for bringing their own snorkeling gear, lunch, water bottle, and change of clothes.
