Lionfish Removal and Awareness Day

May 19-20, 2018

Old River Inn on Perdido Key

17400 Perdido Key Drive

10:00 – 5:00 each day

This annual event is designed to both remove invasive lionfish and educate the public about the issue. There will be educational booths, vendors, music, a kids area, and samples of cooked lionfish to try. Of course, there is the fishing tournament as well.

Come out and try lionfish for yourself and learn more about this invasive problem in the northern Gulf of Mexico.

We are in need of volunteers for a variety of jobs. You can volunteer Saturday, Sunday, or both – there are morning and afternoon shifts. Contact Rick O’Connor – roc1@ufl.edu for more information.
