These samples were collected on Tuesday before the rain began – so all looks well… but you might be cautious around the bayous – we have had 3 straight days of rain since. Only 4 stations were sampled this week.

 

RED TIDE

Red tide continues in Pinellas and Manatee counties – Pinellas has reported fish kills and human respiratory problems – all clear in the panhandle.

 

FISH KILLS for Escambia and Santa Rosa counties

No fish kills reported in April

WATER TEMPERATURES

All water temperatures are above 70 F this week.

 

SALINITY

Salinities in the bayous continue to run below normal – Bayou Texar logged 2.8 ppt near Bayview Park… very low for that station. All bayous reporting less than 10 ppt.

 

DISSOLVED OXYGEN

All DO’s were between 5.9 – 9.0 mg/L – all good.

 

NUTRIENTS
