| Landscapes and lawns will always have some weeds but homeowners can learn practices and management techniques to help reduce weed infestations. On Friday, February 13, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30, the Escambia County Extension Agent and Master Gardeners will talk about using preventative, cultural, mechanical, and chemical management methods for annual and perennial hot weather weeds.The program is free but participants must pre register at least three days before the event by calling 475-5230 or emailing bbolles@ufl.edu.
Programs will be held at Escambia County Extension, 3740 Stefani Road, Cantonment, FL. Dress for outdoor weather as part of the program may include garden demonstrations.
