With over 40 years of tradition, this 4-H in the Classroom program is designed to teach public speaking skills and instill self-confidence in 4th, 5th & 6th grade youth.
County 1st place winners earn a full paid scholarship to 4-H Camp Timpoochee, June 2015.
The 4-H Tropicana Public Speaking Contest has four components:
- topic selection
- research
- writing
- delivery
With four levels of competition in each grade:
- Classroom – 1st, 2nd & 3rd move to
- Grade – 1st & 2nd move to
- County – 1st moves to
- District
