Collier County 4-H
…..
Collier County 4-H, which is part of Florida 4-H, is an informal educational program for 5 to 18 year old youth. In 4-H, there’s fun in learning and learning in fun!
Youth in 4-H participate in all kinds of activities that focus on gaining knowledge and skills, while also teaching positive attitudes. Because we have the support and the resources of the Florida Extension Service and the University of Florida behind us, we are able to offer a wide variety of opportunities for youth. Our goal is to help young people become competent, caring, and contributing citizens of the world.
Our programs are as varied as the youth who take part in them. Some 4-H members focus on traditional agricultural projects, while others learn about the latest computer and drone technology. Some are passionate about programs that teach civic engagement, and others take on leadership roles in their clubs or in 4-H at the county, district, or state level.
We are proud to serve more than 7000 young people in Collier County each year through initiatives in schools, after school programs, camps and other extended learning opportunities, special interest programs, and traditional 4-H clubs.
