What are 4-H County Events?

4-H County Events are fun and educational competitions where 4-H members showcase their skills and talents in various project areas. These events provide opportunities for youth to develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while exploring their interests and passions.

Event Details:

– Date: April 23rd

– Location: 4-H Office (514 E Grace Street in Punta Gorda)

– Time: Schedule a time that works for you between 5:30 and 7:30

– Registration: Please register by [Insert Registration Deadline] to participate in the event. Registration forms can be found on the Charlotte County 4-H website or obtained from your 4-H club leader.

Competition Categories:

  1. Demonstrations and Illustrated Talks: Participants present informative demonstrations or talks on topics related to their 4-H projects.
  2. Public Speaking: Youth deliver prepared speeches on a variety of subjects, showcasing their public speaking and communication skills.
  3. Share-the-Fun: Participants showcase their talents in entertaining acts such as skits, musical performances, and dance routines.
  4. Photography: Youth exhibit their photography skills by showcasing their best photos in various categories.
  5. Pledge Contest: Cloverbud members (5, 5 & 7 years old) can participate in the pledge contest where they are able to recite the 4-H pledge and answer questions about their 4-H experience.
