University of Kentucky Department of Equine Programs Hiring Internship Coordinator

The University of Kentucky’s Department of Equine Programs is seeking a full-time, 12-month Internship Coordinator.

The Internship Coordinator will administer internships for the large and dynamic Equine Science and Management degree program in the University of Kentucky’s College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. In addition, the successful candidate will assist in academic advising for students in the program, support the teaching mission of the degree program, and have event-planning responsibilities. As part of the internship and engagement process, the individual will collaborate with faculty and staff in the UK Ag Equine Programs and with the industry to build opportunities for internships, student activities, and career placement. The individual will also collaborate with college philanthropy directors to build industry engagement with the UK Ag Equine Programs.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Master’s Degree, plus 3 years of relevant experience (or qualifying equivalency)
  • NOTE: Candidates with credentials allowing them to serve in an instructional capacity (18+ hours at the Master’s level or above) are preferred; those without will be expected to pursue those credentials.
Salary Range:
$40,872 – $65,395 annually
