Temperatures and rainfall can affect nutrient uptake into plants which result in foliage that may appear frizzled or with abnormal twisting. Many of these nutrient problems are temporary and do not require additional fertilizer added to the soil. If the problems persist contact the Escambia Extension office at 595-3460 (temporary number due to flooding) or email bbolles@ufl.edu to talk to a plant expert about your specific issue. UF IFAS Extension staff can help you with the best recommendation for your plants.
