Farm bill informational meetings are coming up very soon.

Attention Cotton Farmers

The National Cotton Council is hosting a series of meetings across the cotton belt. The purpose of these meetings is to inform cotton producers and those in related industries about the Agricultural Act of 2014, the new five-year comprehensive farm law that includes fundamental changes in cotton’s safety net, a greater reliance on crop insurance products, and that will be implemented over the 2014 and 2015 crops. A complete list of meeting locations and times is available at the National Cotton Council’s website www.cotton.org. The two closest meetings are in Donalsonville, GA (3/21/14 @ 9am eastern time) and Troy, AL (3/24/14 @ 3pm central time). Transportation to the meeting in Donalsonville will be available courtesy of UF/IFAS Extension, Washington County. For further details about the meetings and transportation contact Mark Mauldin at the UF/IFAS, Washington County Extension Office 850-638-6180.
