Wakulla 4-H Podcast Episodes 3 and 4

In the final weeks of 2022, episodes 3 and 4 of the Wakulla 4-H Podcast aired on WAVE 94.   In the podcast, 4-H youth interview community members about 4-H stories, their lives, and Wakulla history.  Episodes 1 through 4 aired on the radio in December 2022 and are available online.   More episodes are coming in 2023.

Episode 3 –  Missy Rudd Gainer

In Episode 3, Wakulla 4-H alumna Missy Rudd Gainer discussed her memories of 4-H camps and club activities with current 4-H youth members Caden and Gentry.

Missy Rudd Gainer is a Wakulla County native who enjoyed 10 full years of 4-H activities and programs. She has spent her career using the skills she learned in 4-H, from child development to

public speaking. Now a certified fitness instructor and nutritionist, she previously taught high school English and adult continuing education. She is married to Randy Gainer and together they have 5 children and 2 grandchildren.

Episode 4 – Sara Hillier Turner

Caden and Gentry interviewed another 4-H alumna for episode 4.  Sara Hillier Turner also happens to be Gentry’s mom!  Sara shared how she was a 4-H member, then became a 4-H mom, and now serves as a 4-H club volunteer leader.
