The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for
a part-time (non-benefitted) 4-H Program Assistant within the Board of County
Commissioners. This position will be located in the UF/IFAS Extension Office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the 4-H Agent to implement and
administer the program, in its entirety, for the County. This includes the development and
management of 4-H community clubs; assist in recruiting volunteers; preparing and
implementing educational programs; assist in planning and organizing after school, day camp and
residential camp activities. Anticipated work hours will vary (29 hours per week) but will fall
between 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Qualified applicants must possess a High School Diploma or GED; a bachelor’s or
Advanced Degree in Agriculture, Communication, Education or Family, Youth &
Consumer Sciences is preferred. Experience working with children, ages 5-18 YO is
preferred. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required. Must be able to
provide outstanding customer service.
