The Getting Your Landscape Ready for Hurricane Season Program

The Getting Your Landscape Ready for Hurricane Season program will be held at the UF/IFAS Extension Wakulla County Office on June 2, 2018, starting at 9:00 a.m. This informational program is open to landscape professionals, arborist, as well as homeowners and area resident.

The four hour program will provide tips, techniques and tools for minimizing the likelihood of home or commercial landscapes being damage or causing damage during the upcoming hurricane season. Particular emphasis will be placed on identifying and mitigating threats before the storm strikes.

The cost of the program is $10 for home owners and $35 for arborist and landscape professionals. The additional expense will include four FNGLA continuing educational units (CEU’s) and three International Society of Arborist CEU’s plus lunch.

Advance registration is recommended, but walk-in participants will be admitted if space is available.
