Saturday, April 25th, from 9am-1pm, the Master Gardeners will be at Hudson Park selling plants and answering gardening questions. This week, we have been featuring some of the plants offered at the sale. Today’s final features are lantana and century plants!

Lantana thrives in our area with low moisture and full sun. It attracts hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. Swallowtail butterflies are especially drawn to lantana. Its brightly-colored blooms are a lovely addition to any sun-baked spot in the yard.
There are few plants as hardy as the century plant. They grow best in full sun, but can adapt to shade, and are salt-resistant. Despite what their name suggests, century plants live 10-30 years.
There will be many different kinds of plants, in addition to what we have featured, available at the plant sale. We hope to see you tomorrow!
