FDACS Pesticide Vehicle Inspection

Paul Mitola, Field Training Coordinator, FDACS inspector.

During this video presentation, Mitola will give examples of how to prevent or best manage your vehicle in the event of an FDACs vehicle inspection. It will address what is expected on pesticide storage, transport and paperwork in order to be compliant.  Additionally, it will offer tips and safety equipment and supplies to accompany the driver in the event of an accident with pesticide transport.

Bad Science and the Environment

This presentation will present examples of bad environmental science studies that lack research credibility when involving pesticides, water impairment, environmental changes and miss-information in agriculture and with natural resources.

Think Pink! The Petunia Project – Generation Z – Marketing Flowers, FFA and Breast Cancer Awareness

Youth competition using Entrepreneurial practices to seek donations for petunias (colored) at the Deland Farmer’s Market benefitting New Smyrna High School FFA Organization. This presentation describes the project and presents recent findings from two student surveys, funds collected and given to New Smyrna Beach High School students. This project provides insight with Generation Z as future employees.

  1. Have over 20 acres of crop…treefern, leatherleaf, magnolias…time to learn spray and take care of fields myself. No one takes care of the fields like they should or like they are theirs when they lease.
    We have over 10 acres do you need a place to plant petunias to grow for your event? I am trying to keep land from being developed

      The class was held 2 years ago. No field trials were needed. Good Luck!
