The Cordon d’ Or – Gold Ribbon Florida Culinary Academy Awards was introduced into the Cordon d’ Or Annual International Culinary Academy Awards Program in 2008. Many Culinary personalities from across the State of Florida have won Culinary Academy Awards in the years to follow, and it was considered very successful. In 2012, a decision was made whereby the Florida Culinary Academy Awards Program could stand alone and move forward on the Florida Culinary scene independent of the International group.

Cordon d’ Or – Gold Ribbon Inc, accepted the kind offer from the Small Farms Conference – SFC group to hold the annual Culinary Academy Awards presentations at their conference in Kissimmee, Florida in 2013. The ten Awards are for Hall of Fame/Life Achievement; Florida Winery; Florida Farm (2 Awards); Entrepreneur; Florida Chef; ‘Great Tastes’ – culinary produce/product grown or made in Florida; Restaurant: Fine Dining and Casual Dining; Sustainability on the Florida Culinary scene.
