Visit the Sarasota County Green Business Partnership website to view our current partners. The Green Business Partnership is open to all businesses in Sarasota County. Certified Green Business Partners operate in an environmentally responsible manner. More than 250 businesses have earned certification.
If you want to learn more about the program, consider signing up for our next “Learn to become a green business” webinar on July 2nd. Join UF/IFAS Waste Reduction Program to learn steps to implement environmentally sustainable programs into your business. This webinar is designed to introduce businesses with best management practices (BMPs) for implementing environmental programs at the office. Attendees will learn the basics of creating green teams, reducing waste, implementing recycling programs, and energy and water conservation strategies. Additionally, businesses will be introduced to the Sarasota County Green Business Partnership program and how to become a partner!
The webinar will cover reduction, reuse and conservation practices in:
- Business operations
- Solid waste management
- Recycling
- Energy and water consumption
