Club Updates

4-Paws:

• • Dog Show and Skillathon have been the focus for 4-Paws, and they are ready for the county fair!

Action Clovers:

• • Action Clovers have been working on submissions for the Fair Showcase! They are working on a rocket for finding Pluto, and have been working on chemical reactions tests. Ready for county fair!

All Star Lucky Clovers:

• • All Star Lucky Clovers worked on repotting and watering their plants for the county fair.
  • They practiced presentations by giving speeches on their plant projects.

Booker Middle School:

• • Booker Middle School youth have drafted a letter to the principal of the school for their CAPE project, requesting to plant more trees around the school.
  • They spent much time working together to repot and water their plants for fair!

County Council

• County Council had much to discuss with the fair coming up and year coming to an end soon!
• Spent time addressing multiple important topics:
  • Fair improvements
  • Future community service project
  • May elections
• Practiced demonstrations in preparation for the fair!

Upcoming Events

• March 7, 2026 – 4-H Showcase at the County Fair check in and club display competition.
• March 7,13-14 2026 – 4-H Interviewing at County Fair
• March 11, 2026 – 4-H Showcase judging, need volunteers.
• March 12, 2026 – 4-H Youth County Council meeting, 6:30 pm at Extension
• March 13 – 22, 2026 – Sarasota County Agricultural Fair https://www.sarasotafair.com/

Scholarships

Summer Camps

Scholarships are available to apply for summer camps for Summer 2026! They are offered in a ‘first-come, first-serve’ manner. Click this link to apply.

Locally, our Sarasota County 4-H Foundation provides event scholarships.
