Club Updates

Action Clovers

• Action Clovers enjoyed making a unique craft during the meeting.
• They also had the opportunity to have fun with learning some woodworking!

4-Paws

• 4-Paws have been going over showmanship.
• Members are getting ready for the state fair dog show.
• They are also working on posters, showcase, and state fair books

Clogging Clovers

• Members learned and choreographed dances.
• The club discussed the “Share the Fun” event and other county events.

Jr. Cattlemen

• Jr. Cattlemen have been working on demonstrations.
• They also have been preparing for fair!

Legacy Clovers

• Legacy clovers had a session on “how to do demonstrations.”
• Cloverbuds did a fun chicken craft!
• They have been brainstorming having a club beef workshop.

Livestock Club

• Livestock Club have been creating their record books.
• They also have been with focused on working with the dairy cows.

Moo Crew

• Moo Crew is excited with new members joining the club!
• The new members are excited to learn more and get started.

SAA Nature Care Club

• Nature Care Club are excited to attend 4-H Day at the Capitol!
• Members practiced how to say their name and represent 4-H Sarasota County.
• They have been working on a plant pot, a mini rollercoaster, and discussed doing a first poster for the fair!

Wranglers

• Wranglers reported that everything is going well and they are getting ready for fair!

County Council

• The County Council meeting began at 6:36 with introductions, followed by club updates.
• The council reviewed upcoming events and new business, including information about the 4-H newsletter, showcase guidelines and registration, and the awards ceremony, along with how to do a demonstration.
• Then, it was reported that the members “had to line dance”, then the meeting was adjourned at 7:36.
• Next month: focused on demonstrations/illustrations on February 12th!

Scholarships

Summer Camps

Scholarships are available to apply for summer camps for Summer 2026! They are offered in a ‘first-come, first-serve’ manner. Click this link to apply.

Locally, our Sarasota County 4-H Foundation provides event scholarships.
