The James Griffith Salon opened Aug. 1, 1988, in Venice as an AVEDA Concept Salon. Next came their partnership with The Gasparilla Inn & Club in Boca Grande, opening a second salon, and then expanding with a third location in Sarasota in 2008. James Griffith Salon is consistently voted “best of the best” in various categories among their local publications. Additionally, James Griffith Salon has been named to the SALON TODAY 200 by SALON TODAY Magazine multiple times, the top business publication for salon and spa owners. James is honored to also be a member of Intercoiffure, a prestigious industry group comprised of the country’s top salon owners and leaders. At James Griffith Salon, the mission is simply “We Care” and when you walk into any of their locations, you can truly see that statement from the friendly front desk team, to the passionate stylists, to the managers and owners going above and beyond.
As a Green Business partner, the James Griffith Salon is putting the “We Care” approach into action. As a Green Circle Salon, James Griffith has implemented companywide programs striving for better waste reduction practices. The team has set up recycling stations throughout the entire salon to collect waste, which typically would have wound up in a landfill. Hair clippings, foil, and color tubes are a few of the products collected. Through these efforts, the team at James Griffith Salon diverts 95 percent of its waste.
