EVENT: Lost in label-land? We can help.

Organic. Free range. Natural. USDA certified. Grown locally. Cage free. NSF. FSIS. Choice. Prime. Locally sourced.

Get dizzy trying to keep up with – let alone make sense of – the array of labels and acronyms and designations on the foods you buy? We can help. Join us for any of our free, one-hour “What Do All the Labels Mean?” classes. We’ll dive into the details about the variety of claims and actual certifications, with a focus on produce, meat and dairy items. Strip away the hype and learn what food labels such as “natural,” “free range,” “certified organic,” and “locally grown” actually mean.

We’ll meet in Venice (Sept. 17), North Port (Sept. 19) and Sarasota (Sept 25), to help you find a location and date that match your busy schedule. Register early through ufsarasotaext.eventbrite.com to reserve your spot and receive notice of any changes.

As always, you can find our latest events by following us on Facebook @ufsarasotaext, or all of our events – most of which are free – at ufsarasotaext.eventbrite.com.
