Set down some (community) gardening roots

Get back to (or set down anew) your gardening roots!

Culverhouse Community Garden has four, highly coveted plots available for the 2018-19 growing season. The Culverhouse plots, like those in all community gardens overseen by Sarasota County Extension, are open to any Sarasota County resident. Join as a member, and enjoy growing and harvesting your own produce, sharing good times with fellow gardeners, and getting great growing advice along the way.

The Culverhouse garden is located in the Culverhouse Nature Park on McIntosh Road, near the head of the Legacy Bike Trail. You can learn more about the garden at Culverhousegarden.org, or community gardens in general at sarasota.ifas.ufl.edu/communitygardens. To apply for a plot, contact Mindy Hanak, community and school gardens coordinator for Sarasota County Extension, at 941-861-9815 or by email to mhanak@scgov.net.
