EVENT: Stay Safe Around Florida Panthers

Ever encountered a Florida panther in the wild? Join us Aug. 21 for a free class on what to do if you chance on one of these magnificent creatures.

Sightings of panthers are rare, let alone conflicts with these apex predators. Dr. Elizabeth F. Pienaar, a University of Florida assistant professor with human dimensions of wildlife in the Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, will highlight safety precautions you can take to further lessen your risk while exploring natural Florida, and discuss conservation measures concerning these endangered animals. Register early through ufsarasotaext.eventbrite.com to reserve your seat and receive notice of any changes.
