EVENT: North Sarasota hurricane preparedness event

North Sarasota residents are invited to attend a free, one-hour Sarasota County Extension workshop that highlights storm readiness steps.

The Aug. 6 event, open to any member of the public, gives participants a set of tools to prepare for power outages, water or food shortages, record/document damage and more. Learn more and register early (to reserve your seat and receive notice of any changes) at
