Cloverbuds and 4-H Animal Projects

Young children are curious and excited about animals, which is one of the reasons that draws them to the 4-H program. However, choosing a project that is right for your cloverbud (youth ages 5-7) can be a challenge. 4-H policies are based on research that will encourage cloverbud youth and provide a safe, inclusive environment.

Cloverbud Animal Projects

Cloverbuds can learn important life skills from animal science projects. Lap animals such as rabbits and poultry are popular cloverbud projects that teach youth to care for a living creature, accepting responsibility, making decisions, and setting and achieving goals.
