Beekeeping in Florida: Beekeeping Laws and Regulations Informative Video

Beekeeping is essential to Florida’s agriculture, helping pollinate many important crops in the state’s farm system. To ensure healthy and efficient beekeeping, the state requires beekeepers to register their colonies with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS). This registration process is essential because it promotes regular hive inspections by local inspectors, helps prevent and control the spread of pests and diseases such as foulbrood, and ensures that beekeepers follow science-based management practices.
