The Green Industries Best Management Practices (GI-BMPs) workshop teaches landscaping practices that are good for the environment and help protect Florida’s water and natural resources. This science-based program is designed for landscape workers and professionals to promote healthy landscapes across Florida. This workshop is also a requirement for professionals that need to obtain their Limited Urban Commercial Fertilizer (LUF). This training was designed by UF/IFAS Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ program and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
Agents from Polk County have developed a video as an introduction to the GI-BMP workshop teaching a few aspects of a healthy landscape in Florida and encouraging landscape professionals to participate in the training.
