2019 Youth Earth Day Mail Art Contest

UF/IFAS Extension invites kids 18 and under to participate in the Earth Day Mail Art Competition! Pick up your colored pencils, paintbrush, and scissors and get creative!

This year’s theme is #PlasticFreeLifestyle – there is so much plastic in the world and a lot of it does not get recycled. We want YOU to show us how you live a #PlasticFreeLifestyle! The rules are simple: you can submit any original artwork that can be mailed – 2D, 3D, a photo, a poem, whatever you want that can be mailed!

We are looking for original artwork that best represents the theme. You may submit one distinct creative piece in your grade level. Please mail your artwork to:

Please include your name, email address, phone number, grade, school, and teacher’s name (if applicable) so we can contact you if your artwork wins (this information can be found on the “Mail Art Entry Form”). Your entry will be judged by an independent panel of judges from the art community. If you have any questions throughout the process, contact Trevor Ackerman at tackerman@pinellascounty.org.

In order to be considered, your entry must be post marked by Wednesday April 3rd, 2019. The winners will be announced on Friday April 19th and will be contacted via phone and email.

One winner in each grade level will be awarded a plastic free prize package!

Artwork will not be returned and may be used in other Extension programs and promotional materials. Artwork will not be available for sale and we reserve the right to disqualify any inappropriate submissions. Your artwork will automatically be entered into our Facebook Fan Favorite Contest, unless otherwise specified. No personal information will be shared.

Completely original artwork. No unauthorized reproduction of artwork/images. No perishable materials.
