Upcoming Water Bath Canning Class Spring 2023

Last year during strawberry season, did you pick a little too many strawberries?  Were you looking for ways to cook and bake with them, freeze them, or finding other ways to eat them before they went bad?  This year, pick as many strawberries as you want, but make sure to first attend this workshop on canning strawberry preserves so that you’ll have other options for your excess berries again this season!  This hands-on class will show you how to can strawberry preserves in a water bath canner, as well as teach about the differences between the two canning methods, water bath and pressure canning, and other food safety topics.

This class is scheduled on Friday, March 3rd, 2023 from 9am to 12pm.

The class will be held at the One Stop Shop in Dade City: 15029 14th Street, Dade City, FL 33523.

If you want to attend but are unavailable on Friday, March 3rd, then you have another opportunity to still register!  The following day, Saturday, March 4th, the same class will be taught at the Hillsborough County Extension office, located at 5339 County Road 579 Seffner, FL 33584
