“If I could get people to water their lawns only when needed, I would solve most lawn problems in Florida.” That is what one of the top grass researchers at the University of Florida says.
When it comes to watering lawns, people often do too much or too little. You may have seen sprinklers running during heavy rain. On the other hand, some people do not water at all, causing their lawns and plants to become too dry.
The best way to water is somewhere in between. Not too much and not too little. Proper watering helps grass, plants, and gardens grow strong, deep roots. I will talk about this topic in my presentation, H2wOes, on June 27 at Explore Extension.
