One of Our Own, Margaret Stewart, Awarded Prestigious Conservation Award

We proudly share that Margaret Stewart of the UF/IFAS Okaloosa County Extension Service is nationally recognized by the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Conservation Committee.

The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Conservation Committee is dedicated to preserving our country’s natural resources. This includes its soils, minerals, forests, waters, and wildlife. The Conservation Award recognizes individuals who go above and beyond their jobs in nature conservation, resource management, or education.

Margaret Stewart received the Conservation Award in recognition of outstanding achievement for awareness.

She is also a Master Gardener Volunteer in Okaloosa County. In that role, Margaret has given thousands of hours helping educate the community and care for our natural resources.

Congratulations, Margaret! This is a well-deserved and prestigious honor, and we are thankful for your continued service to our community.
