About: Join UF/IFAS researchers, faculty, staff and students for a community-focused night of science at UF/IFAS NCBS to learn about innovative research being conducted across Florida’s Nature Coast.

Visitors are encouraged to connect with the next generation of natural resource professionals during this open house event. UF/IFAS NCBS students and researchers will present research posters and host short “flash talks” to provide information about ongoing project topics focused on snook thermal refuge, hurricane impacts on the Cedar Key islands, seagrass ecology and more.

“We’ve put a lot of effort into creating a welcoming space to build connections, spark collaborations, and show the community what we do,” said Fia Campanino, NCBS-affiliate Ph.D. student in the School of Natural Resources and Environment. “The presence of our community matters. Join us for food, drinks and a social hour and share in the work we do to help the Big Bend area.”

The open house also provides an opportunity for the community to get a glimpse at some of the exciting renovations and upgrades at UF/IFAS NCBS. Guests will find all information and experiences available on the third floor.
