For professionals navigating today’s complex agricultural and environmental communication landscape, credibility and strategy matter more than ever. An upcoming interactive webinar hosted by the UF/IFAS Center for Public Issues Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources (PIE Center) in collaboration with professionals from the Orlando Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) will introduce communicators to the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) credential and highlight how it can strengthen professional practice across agriculture, natural resources and science-based fields.
During the session, participants will gain a clear understanding of what the APR represents, why it is considered the gold standard in public relations and what is involved in the accreditation process. Presenters will also connect APR-aligned competencies to real-world communication challenges commonly faced in agriculture, environmental and natural resource sectors.
The webinar is designed for professionals working across Extension, agriculture and natural resources industries, government, nonprofit organizations and academia. Whether participants are early in their careers or seasoned communicators seeking to elevate their impact, the session will provide practical insights into how APR certification can enhance credibility, strengthen decision-making and support career advancement.
