What: The 2025 Florida Technology & Innovation Solution Summit will explore how artificial intelligence (AI) will transform the state’s agriculture sector. Florida is poised to lead the nation in agricultural technology and AI, an area in which the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) is leading the way.

Developing agricultural technology will increase Florida’s ability to deal with labor shortages, foreign competition, pests and diseases. It will also boost the economy of Florida’s rural counties.

- Nathan Boyd, professor and associate director of the planned Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture (UF/IFAS).
- Gary Wishnatzki, owner, Wish Farms, co-founder, Harvest CROO Robotics.
- James Henningsen, president, College of Central Florida.
This panel will discuss the metamorphosis of Florida agriculture as a tech sector through academic- and industry-based development of an AI-literate, agricultural workforce. The Sunshine State will play a key role in feeding a world in which food production must virtually double by 2050.
