Media Alert: Take a Walk Through Nature for Better Health

Who: UF/IFAS Extension Escambia County

What: Residents are invited to a free Earth Day walking event where they will experience new native plantings of trees at the UF/IFAS Extension Escambia County office. This event will kick off a two-week walking challenge for better health and is sponsored by Florida Blue.

Event highlights:

  • Easy and healthy hiking snacks
  • Native tree trail highlights
  • Demonstration garden
  • Health tips from Florida Blue
  • Outdoor recreation opportunities in the Florida forest
