UF/IFAS faculty named ASHS Fellows

The American Society for Horticultural Science bestowed its highest honor upon two IFAS faculty at their annual meeting in July.

The professional association named Jude Grosser and Robert Stamps as Fellows of the Society, an honor given to only a few outstanding scientists and educators each year.

Jude Grosser is a professor in the Department of Horticultural Sciences at the Citrus Research and Education Center at Lake Alfred. His research focuses on plant cell genetics and increasing citrus variety.

Robert “Bob” Stamps is a professor in the Department of Environmental Horticulture at the Mid-Florida Research and Education Center in Apopka. The main focus of his research is to develop economically sound and environmentally responsible production, storage and shipping methods for ornamental crops and foliage.
