Our Volunteers Rock: Heather Pfister

The month of April is Florida 4-H Volunteer appreciation month! We are using this time to thank of our non-traditional, but undoubtedly exceptional volunteers that enable us to inspire and educate the youth of Nassau County.

Nassau County 4-H is blessed to have so, so many volunteers that it truly is incredibly difficult choosing only a few to highlight in April. We’d would now like to spotlight Heather Pfister!

Heather has been a primary donor of fertile eggs for our embryology program for several years now. Her donations alone can attribute over 100 dozen eggs for classrooms! Her donations alone have single-handedly supported full schools on many occasions. She is always smiling and willing to help, donate, or answer questions we might have about her (or any!) chickens. She is very passionate about her chickens and is eager to help grow this project for both our community’s youth and our members. We would truly not be able to run the embryology program and reach thousands of youth each year without her support.

Thank you for being an awesome volunteer and friend.

You Rock, Heather!
