Our Volunteers Rock! Commissioner Klynt Farmer

The month of April is Florida 4-H Volunteer appreciation month! We are using this time to thank of our non-traditional, but undoubtedly exceptional volunteers that enable us to inspire and educate the youth of Nassau County.

Nassau County 4-H is blessed to have so, so many volunteers that it truly is incredibly difficult choosing only a few to highlight in April. We’d like to start off this year’s spotlights with Commissioner Klynt Farmer!

Commissioner Klynt Farmer has been a big supporter and friend of Nassau County 4-H even before starting his political journey. He attends almost all of the events he is invited to, is willing to share ideas and connections to make some amazing 4-H opportunities, and champions for our program every day. He has not forgotten his own 4-H days and never misses a moment to give back. This year Commissioner Farmer even came to 4-H Day at the Capitol with our members showing our youth that their local politicians are truly invested in their growth as well as taking in interest in what 4-H offers on a state level! Commissioner Farmer has also offered to help teach at specialty events including fishing or intro to agriculture camps. However, what really has set him apart this year is his true dedication and championing for one of our members. Commissioner Farmer helped initiate and lead a special BOCC Resolution to recognize a member’s efforts, celebrate his talents, and show him that his community is rooting for him. This special moment is one for the history books and would not have been possible without Klynt’s initiation. He is always prompt to reply, honest in his responses, and eager to lend a hand.

Thank you for being an awesome volunteer and friend.

You Rock, Klynt!
