Crash Course in Florida Gardening 2019 Spring

Learn about trees, plants and gardening in Florida during a “Crash Course in North Florida Gardening” three-day seminar for newcomers to Florida.

Rebecca Jordi will conduct the seminars, covering topics on proper landscape practices and plants for the Northeast Florida area. With different information being presented each day.

Notebooks, refreshments and plenty of garden material will be given away to participants. Classes will contain information on Florida Friendly plants, annuals, perennials, attracting wildlife, trees, shrubs, lawngrass, palms and citrus. Appropriate watering and fertilization methods will be discussed as well as proper pruning and plant selection.

Cost:

You must register and pay $50 per person/ $75 per couple (one notebook per couple). Please make checks payable to University of Florida. Registration is due by February 1, 2019 at 5 PM. Late registration after February 1 is $75 per person and $100 per couple. Attendance is limited to 30 people.

Location:

Yulee County Building 86026 Pages Dairy Road. (Take US 17 North, pass over the railroad tracks, turn left on Pages Dairy Road. The building is attached to the fire station.)
