Yuvraj Khamare Wins CALS Murial Rumsey Scholarship

Mid-Florida Research and Education Center (MREC) environmental horticulture doctoral student Yuvraj Khamare has been awarded the Murial Rumsey Scholarship from the UF/IFAS College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.

Graduate scholarship applications are evaluated based on scholastic achievements, scholarship in the discipline, teaching activities, and academic performance, among other criteria.

Khamare is a doctoral student in the environmental horticulture program and works alongside Associate Professor of Environmental Horticulture Chris Marble, who’s research focuses on ornamental, landscape and invasive weed management.

“I appreciate the university for recognizing my academic accomplishments,” Khamare said. “I appreciate the support of all who made this scholarship possible and look forward to a career in horticulture.”
