EDIS Update: Florida Water Bill

Water is one of Florida’s crucial natural resources. Florida Senate Bill 522 protects the state’s natural resource for current and future use. Some of the topics covered in the bill are springs, wetlands, and water supply. Although the bill includes more than what the summary states, this provides a look into a few guides the state has.

The EDIS publication seeks to break down this bill to better help Florida citizens understand current water laws. One of the new laws affects Central Florida in order to meet long-term water use goals.
