Conservation Conversations Weekly Webinars Go Live

Over the past six weeks, we Extension Agents have had to adapt to the COVID-19 developments and measures implemented to ensure our health and safety. For obvious reasons, both the University of Florida and Miami-Dade County have prohibited all in-person teaching activities. To continue serving our clientele, I partnered with Miami-Dade County ECO Adventures to offer a new free weekly webinar series called “Conservation Conversations.” These are environmentally-themed presentations given by ECO Adventures staff and myself about topics that are local and relevant to Florida. We have been giving these webinars for a month now, and they will continue through the foreseeable future, or when the restrictions begin to ease-this is all very fluid.

The webinars take place every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 12:00 noon.

To register, please go here:

These webinars are 30 minutes and offer the opportunity for educational interaction. If participating via phone, you will have to download the Zoom app. If you are on a desktop or laptop, all you should have to do is click “Open Zoom Meetings/Launcher” when that dialogue box pops up.

We will post the topic and registration links to the week’s webinars on our social media pages (Facebook and Instagram). You can elect to receive an email reminder by contacting myself, Ana Zangroniz at azangroniz@ufl.edu.

We really hope that you can join us for this new series, feel free to share with anyone that you think might be interested. Please contact me if you have any questions. Stay safe and we look forward to working with you in person again soon.
