Crinum Lilies

‘Queen Emma’ Crinum Lilies

Crinum lilies can be a truly magnificent addition to your landscape. These two pictured here are ‘Queen Emma’ crinum lilies and although they usually bloom in summer, they decided to start a bit early this year. There are over one hundred species of crinum, some of which are native such as swamp lily that grow along river banks. Crinum lilies range in size and color with some just getting about a foot tall to others growing to 6 feet! These make wonderful specimen plants in a partially shady part of your landscape and add texture and height. The blooms, although short lived, also have a sweet fragrance for all to enjoy.
