Growing a Green Thumb; Ready, Set, Garden!

This is a three-part program to improve gardening skill and knowledge.
“What’s the Deal with Invasive Plants” with Dr. Jason Ferrell and Christine Felds, UF Center for Aquatic and Invasive Plants.
“Table Herbs” includes discussion and instruction on herb and spring season vegetables including sowing seed and potting up edibles.
“Trees from the Roots Up” identifies north Florida deciduous fruit varieties, tree selection and preparation for planting.

Practical application encourages participants to take an active role in the learning process. This three-part workshop is an indoor and outdoor event. Wear closed toe, secure footwear.

In partnership with Levy County Board of County Commissioners, Suwannee River Water Management District and Levy Soil and Water Conservation District, participants will practice gardening techniques, enhance skills and deepen gardening knowledge. No charge for this workshop, click HERE.
