March 28: Learn All About Composting with Worms

Did you know you can feed worms your kitchen vegetable scraps and they will turn it into rich, nutrient dense black compost gold?
UF/IFAS Leon County Extension Agents Mark Tancig and Molly Jameson are hosting a hands-on Vermicompost Worm Bin Workshop all about how to compost with WORMS!
Participants will learn:
  • What is vermicompost?
  • The benefits of worm composting
  • How to build a worm bin
  • How to take care of a worm bin

The workshop will be on Thursday, March 28, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Leon County Extension Office (615 Paul Russell Rd.).

Participants who purchase a worm bin will receive: a worm bin, worms, worm bedding, and digital copies of presentation and handout. Cost is $45 (1-2 participants).

Participants who do not purchase a worm bin will receive: digital copies of presentation and handout. Cost is $5 (1-2 participants).
