The UF/IFAS Leon County Extension Office will be hosting an arborist training event on March 30th, 2017, from 8am to 4:30 pm. The Florida Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) will be presenting their Planting and Establishment with Nursery Grades and Standards program. Dr. Ed Gilman, from UF/IFAS, and Michael Marshall, from Marshall Tree Farm, are the expert presenters.

Detailed planting specifications

Tree selection – New cultivars and old standby

REVISED 2015 GRADES & STANDARDS: The new 7 steps simplified

Achieving the Grades & Standards in the nursery setting

FIELD DEMONSTRATIONS, including grading trees and proper planting techniques

Participants will be able to obtain the following CEUs:

ISA Certified Arborist – 6.5

ISA BSMA – 2.25 (M), 3.25 (P), and 1 (S)

FNGLA – 4
