4-H County Events

 

4-H County Events held on Saturday, April 14 at the Jefferson County Extension Office. Participants chose individual topics for demonstration/illustrated talks. The overall purpose of the event is to develop and promote life skills needed to research, organize and present their speech. Participants learn to be attentive to personal appearance and sharpen their skills in persuasive speech.

4-H Clover Bud Division, 5-7 years-old: participant received a participation ribbon. Carter Hill – Science & Technology –“Parts of a Play Station 4 Controller.

Junior Division, 8-10 years old: Demonstrations/Illustrated Talks:–Miranda Hall, “Fluffy Slime”- 1st Place-blue quality ribbon, Barbara Darity, “Blue Nose Pit Bulls”, 1st place-blue quality ribbon, Corey Hatchett, Blue Jays, 1st place-blue quality ribbon. Team Demonstration, SaDaviann Morris & Patrick Parrish, “BBQ Chicken Nachos” 1st place-blue quality ribbon.

Intermediate Division, 11-13 years Old: Zanyia Parrish, “Pepperoni & Sausage Pizza Casserole, 1st place-blue quality ribbon, Natila Hill, “How to Potty Train Your Puppy”, 1st Place-blue quality ribbon. Samantha Hall, “No Bake Chocolate Sandwich Cookies Cheesecake” 1st place-blue quality ribbon.

Senior Division, 14-18 Years Old: Meadria Jones, “Wow! I Love Baby Sitting” 1st place-blue quality ribbon, Sierra Montgomery, “Preventing Food Poisoning” 1st place-blue quality ribbon, team illustrated talk, Jada Mosely & Sarah Crandall, “Stay Alive, Don’t Drink and Drive, 1st place-blue quality ribbon.

All participates competed at 4-H District III Events on Saturday, April 29, in Liberty County.
